Just as my digits hit the keys, my cell phone displays a picture of a friend not seen in over a year. I answer and the voice of that sings from the other end is a dear sister in Yeshua Adonai (JESUS my LORD). Her every word is laden with joy as we take turns detailing the goodness of our LORD in the land of the living throughout this past year.
The conversation is a volley of His faithfulness amid the storms and the calm; His revealing and healing; His gentle loving hand of correction and redirection. Oh how good it is to declare these things aloud and lift Him up with one another! Overwhelmed by how HE loves us and is very present in every detail of our lives. We both proclaim that we have truly been growing in trust and surrender during the past year’s seasons, and what a freeing thing it is. There is real joyful pain of peeling off the things that no longer serve us nor befit us!It is all good simply because He is doing it and He is good at transforming us from the inside out.
As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another. Sparks fly and gunk is removed when iron is sharpened, so it is with relationships that are honest and godly! Reproof and exhortation are so very valuable and an encouragement to grow in truth and grace.
We must encourage each other to live in truth, praying for wisdom and discernment of what is being said continually in these days. He has brought us together and placed us in the same corner of this life tapestry for our good and His glory. Having uniquely formed us and given us an identity that is a gift to others! As we actively ask Him to show us what that looks like daily, we are launched into the adventure of a lifetime! He has served us with this identity so that we can bless others as we live it out.
Ask Him who He created you to be and then walk THAT out. You will be amazed at the opportunities that He provides to bless others as you do! Pick up the phone when He calls you to do it. Speak truth and life to others and over yourself.
Urge one another to live peacefully amid chaos, lovingly amid anger and hatred, and living conduits of TRUTH, LIFE & LIGHT amid the darkness of confusion and death! As sons and daughters of YAHWEH (THEE I AM), temples of and bearers of RUACH HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), betrothed to YESHUA: Be who He created you to be in TRUTH and bring hope to those you are threaded together with daily.
It twas a beautiful gift that phone call! A gentle reminder that seasons change in this world, but YAHWEH does not. ADONAI is doing so very many things with and in each of us every moment. Do not fear, He is speaking to us all the time, be hearing, and know His activity is definitely reason for rejoicing. So, who are you gonna sharpen today? Who is it that He wants you to rejoice with? Go, do it! Shalom!
